Iguazu Falls – Reflection on the relationship between man and nature

Visiting the Iguazu Falls has been one of the most amazing experiences of my life, of course with Perito Moreno.

Both the Brazilian side and the Argentine side have impressed me a lot. Many people, taken in haste and traveling too much touring, are forced to choose whether to see the falls from the Brazilian side or the Argentinean side. Instead, the best thing is to breathe the relaxed atmosphere of Iguazu and stay there for three days so that you have enough time to see the world’s most famous waterfalls on both sides.

On the Brazilian side you can observe the Cataratas in all their majesty, from this perspective the falls will stand before you, but only after you have gone some of the journeys you will realize how immense they are.

I must say that at the beginning I was expecting to see the bluest water, but because of the chemical properties of the soil and the rainy season the water in this period of the year assumes a brown color.

The most striking aspect is the magnitude of the falls. I did not expect them to be so big, so extensive and the power of water is something indescribable.

On the Argentinian side, however, you have the opportunity to find yourself immersed in the waterfalls and its natural and luxurious surroundings.

The Argentine side is spectacular because through the three paths you walk a few steps from it and sometimes almost over them. The most exciting moment was when I and all of us ran to one of the low-lane waterfalls and we were deliberately and completely wet.

I often stop observing and noticing the energy and happiness of people in seeing landscapes and natural phenomena.

It is something that gives me hope, hopes that humanity is not completely lost. If there are still people who are amazed at a sunset, a butterfly, a rainbow or a waterfall, then maybe we are not completely lost yet?

At these moments, however, I realize how much man is living a life away from reality and far from the things that really matter. When I see all this lush vegetation I wonder how it is possible to allow the destruction of nature.

And I wonder if all these people so happy to see such majesty would be ready and willing to make their voices heard to protect nature, our motherland.

I honestly have my doubts otherwise we would not find ourselves in the situation we are in.

How much emotional moments are we losing in everyday life? How much magic are we losing?

It would be enough so little to be happy in life. Instead of surrounding us with unnecessary objects and objects we should surround ourselves with nature or moments of daily life with it.

But we must do it not only for the great waterfalls but for all the nature around us. We are willing to make km/km, pay an entry ticket, make tons of sight for one of the many nature shows but we do not care if the Amazon rainforest, for example, loses every day hectares and hectares of land for the economic profits of a few.
